Buenos Aires HipstaPak: A collaboration with fashion photographer Diego Uchitel
In honor of Snap magazine’s annual Fashion issue (coming soon!), we’re bringing you a very special, early release for September First Friday: The Buenos Aires HipstaPak, a lens and two films inspired by one of our favorite fashion photographers, Diego Uchitel
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Diego moved to the United States after high school to follow his passion: all he wanted to do was capture and create beautiful stories through photography.
He’s snapped some big names over the years, including David Bowie, Drew Barrymore, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Julianne Moore for magazines like Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Elle. He also lends his artistic eye to ad campaigns for companies like Anthropologie, Bergdorf Goodman, Olay, and Diane Von Furstenberg.
And while his resume is impressive, what’s always drawn us to Diego’s work is his style. He’s a master of light and composition, and has an incredible way of capturing the souls of his subjects. Nowhere is this more visible than in his polaroid collection. Amassed over decades, Diego took so many stunning polaroids of his subjects that it was turned it into a book, “Diego Uchitel: Polaroids,” which can be picked up around the world and online
The Buenos Aires HipstaPak is a nod to Diego’s awesome signature style — photography that perfectly blends fashion and art. Download the Pak now, and as Diego says, “Always shoot. Always take pictures.”
