Jamaica is a mosaic consisting of many incredible tiles. The mix of African, European, and Asian influences have given birth to a society that is unlike any other culture in the world.
My trip to Treasure Beach was born out of a desire to disconnect for a period of time with my urban settings in NYC, and to reconnect with the basics that seem to be so easy to forget when you live in a fast-paced society. Our stay at Jake’s (one of Chris Blackwell’s Island Outpost properties) was the perfect hideout.
Now that I’m back in my my office 100 feet above Broadway, I’m constantly daydreaming of the beaches, the smell of jerk and curry BBQ, roadside beer joints in the mountains, and the general jungle life, not to mention all of my new found friends.
