Announcing Oggl for Windows Phone 8 and Nokia Devices

When we think about the future of photography, we’re inspired by our community, and also by the advancements in smartphone camera hardware. As a company, we’ve been committed to pushing the boundaries of hardware with our artistic and creative vision, then turning it over to our community to push even further. As device makers continue to improve camera hardware, the possibilities of what Hipstamatic can create — what our community can create — are endless.

I’m excited to tell you that today, for the first time ever, we’re bringing our latest Hipstamatic experience, Oggl, to the Windows Phone 8 platform, and specifically, Nokia devices. Oggl for Windows Phone 8 and Nokia devices will first be available in June when the Lumia 925 hits shelves.

We were impressed with the Lumia 925 because the device’s camera is designed to take amazing pictures in low light situations — concerts, restaurants, nightlife, late night jaunts — all the things our community (and the Hipsta team!) loves to do. We can’t wait to meet our new creative family, welcome back some old friends, and grow the Hipstamatic community even more.

Oggl for Windows Phone 8 and Nokia comes on the heels of our Oggl for iOS announcement last week. Since launching, Oggl is already connecting and inspiring the Hipstamatic community and likeminded creatives from around the world. To request and invitation to Oggl for iOS, go here.

We’ll keep the community updated as we get closer to launching Oggl for Windows Phone 8 on Nokia’s Lumia 925. In the meantime, keep snappin’ and see you on Oggl.
